Steampunk for Father’s Day

Today we’ve created a mixed media rusty effect steampunk canvas. We were inspired by the More Than Words June Challenge- Father and Steampunk; Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge- Masculine; Stamplorations Mixed Media June Challenge.

When we think of Father- we think of Adventure and how a Father always teaches his children to be fearless, bold, independent and live life to the fullest. We were always taught to explore the unknown, challenge our limits and be fearless. This steampunk piece is everything that. A discovery, and explorations, a treasure uncovered; rusty yet valuable.

Our main embellishment for this piece is an altered tape runner :)! We opened up a used tape runner and altered that. We’ve added a picture of the tape runner as well.
