Hello,
Today we’re guest designing for More Than Words Challenge Blog. Here’s a look at their challenge for this month:
I (Aditi) was inspired by the word inspiration and based my layout on that. ‘Discover’ to me spoke of my own discovery and hence I decided to scrap myself in this Layout. The layout is a collection of many moments from my time in Spain. The background is created using watercolour inks and lindy’s magical shakers. I’ve incorporated a technique I discovered during my time at the Art School. I’ve used Scrapbox Chipboard and dies for the embellishments (that I’d bought during my travels and went hiding in my stash). These to me speak of directions. I’ve used lace, doodling pens and a resin frame as well from my old stash as a part of the creative challenge. The colours used are also symbolic to this journey.
I’ve also written a poem on this:
Sometimes, you ought to isolate,
in order to find yourself.
In solitude, I found
my laughter, my joy, my peace.
And then I
discovered me!
Life has its ways,
and if you surrender
healing is magical.
Sometimes, you ought to move,
in different directions
to find the light within.
It’s circular and spiral,
not linear, this journey
called life.
And freedom lies in
flowing like a stream
and swaying with the wind.
And when that happened,
my heart opened up,
sunshine warmed-up my soul,
and love gushed in every cell.
With a new passion and gratitude
my entire being blossomed.
