good friends don’t let you do stupid things alone!

Today we’re on the ScrapsnPieces Blog with a guest post. We are so thrilled with this opportunity and are excited to show our project!

We’ve created a Round Canvas for the current mood-board challenge.

The colours, of course, intrigued us, and the quote. It took us back to some great memories. We decided to capture it all on a canvas that can adorn a wall in our room.

Here’s a look at our creation:

We were inspired by the following challenges:

More Than Words May Challenge- Memories & Frame– We’ve used a Chipboard Frame and Memories are all about happy memories with friends.

Lindy’s May Challenge- We’ve used Sprays- Magnolia Magenta GoldHibiscus RoseFrench Lilac VioletCalifornia Poppy Gold; Magical Shaker- Guten Tag Teal; Embossing Powders- Yodeling Yellow, Guten Tag Teal, Aurora Amethyst and Hibiscus Rose Orange

This week our Sponsor is- Ike’s Art offering a prize of $15 voucher

Hi there – I am Ike……a nickname that I got hooked with many years ago due to my surname. I live in Greece and have a passion for kitties. I am a bit crazy or should I say I’m ‘zany’ hahaha. I have a very strange/sick sense of humour and I must admit I spend a lot of time talking to myself. !! Well, I get more sense out of me.! I reckon in a few years I shall be known as the “crazy cat lady” ☺
I am an artist and have a strange mind when it comes to creating my art. I either go completely true to life… right down to the last hair… or I go totally surreal. I have a passion for all things horror/Gothic etc. I’ve always loved horror films and books and I guess that’s why it creeps into my stuff

GDT for Tubby Crafts

Hello everyone,

Today I am delighted to be guest designing for Tubby Crafts. It has been fun playing with the Die Ink Pads and the Stamp Set sent to me by Shruti!

The inks were great for water-colouring, background creation as well as stamping.

I have created three projects with these supplies- Floral Invitation Stamp Set; Dye Ink Pads- Hot Pink, Imperial Red, Lemon Yellow, Jet Black, Tangy Orange and Lawn Green.

Here’s a look:

First up, is an invitation card, with a vellum envelope.

My second project is a Journal Page.
My final project is a pair of ATC Cards.

Find Joy in the Ordinary

Today we’re back with a double page spread in our Traveler’s Notebook. This is a fun watercolour spread with a layering of elements.

We’ve played with our Lindy’s Magicals- Hibiscus Rose, Cocklebells Coral and Tibetan poppy Teal & Magical Shaker- Guten Tag Teal, Polka Purple and Oom Pah Pah Pink. For the layering, we’ve used a few Kaisercraft Die Cut Collectibles, Prima Dream On Planner Collection and Cuts2Luv Badges. We also used the Altenew Vintage Flowers Stamp set to stamp the flowers.

We were inspired by :

Cuts2Luv May Challenge– We’ve used the Watercolor technique, Doily as an embellishment, Pink on our badges, the sketch as well as the colour palette.

Mixed Media & Art May Challenge – Inspired by the colours

Mixed Media Place- April Challenge– The colour palette, flowers and the general positive vibes of the mood board.

Monsoon Beauty

Layouts are always fun to create. Today we’re here to show you our latest Layout, with a lot of fussy and die cut elements. No 3 D texture, like our layouts, yet the same depth and dimension.

We’ve used the Kaisercraft Lilac Whispers and Wandering Ivy Collection for this layout.

We were inspired by two challenges:

Kaisercraft May Challenge- Sketch

Words & Paintery May Challenge- No rain, No flowers with the colour palette

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – Stencil It

This week our Sponsor is Oddball Art offering a prize of 3 Digital Images.

Blurb: Artist, Poet, Fruitarian…………. Lizzy Love is a perfect combination of sweet and sour that glitters up the grunge! Easily lose yourself in her artistic realm of sometimes spooky but always delightfully cute, big-eyed waifs and their animal friends. Lizzy’s whimsical, one of a kind dream world is easily recognizable by her signature style of creepy yet cute, all the way from the haunting darkness to the rainbowtastic, her original creations are lovingly sprinkled with a heartbreaking sweetness. Though she is completely enthralled by her Twinkling watercolors right now, Lizzy employs many different mediums when she creates, from drawing to painting, sewing and cutting, the end result always being the same; A gothic fantasy land painted in soft pastels and neon colors; filled with big-eyed beauties, creepy little cuties and quirky monsters of all shapes and sizes. Lizzy Love’s artwork includes original paintings both acrylic and watercolour, giclee fine art prints, art dolls, digital and rubber stamps of her characters, hand-painted merchandise such as bags, T-shirts and more….. limited only by her imagination the possibilities are endless.

We’ve used the Bookworm Fairy  Image and created a bookmark.
