I have a video tutorial and we have fun, YouTube Hop (with 22 sponsors and 24 prizes), as well. Hop on over:)!

Perfect moment

Today we’re back with a mixed media style layout. On this one, we’ve kept it clean and simple. We’ve used Lindy’s Shakers- Oktoberfest Orange and Bavarian Blue, and Magical- Mango Mania on the background. We’ve used Cuts2Luv badge, doily, 49 & Market flowers, Kaisercraft collectables, fabric, and Papericious sequence for the layering along with a photo.

We were inspired by the

Cuts2Luv September Challenge– We followed the colour combo, the sketch, our badge has texture and we used fabric as well.

Mixed Media Place September Challenge– Inspired by the colours and the flowers

Birthday Layout

Sunila here from Dots to Lines, with a birthday layout for Aditi. I’ve used her favourite colours and created this layout. I’ve used Lindy’s Sprays- Hottie Patottie Hot Pink, Tilt a Wheel Teal, Shaker- Bavarian Blue and Embossing Powders- Bavarian Blue, Razzleberry Plum and Twilight Blue Slate. I have used the Altenew Reflections kit along with the stamps- Vintage Flowers and Peony Boquet, inks- Green Fields, Glacier Caves and Red Cosmos. For the texture on the background, I have applied Liquitex Glass Beads texture through AB Studio Stencil ID 23. I have used Finnabair’s Waxes- Rose Gold and Vintage Old to highlight the texture. I have completed it with Art Extravagance Glitter.

I would like to submit this for the following challenges

Altenew Sketch Challenge 11 – I have incorporated the sketch and colours.

Art Playground September Challenge– Followed the colour palette, and while working, I went with more of a free flow approach and not so much planning.

Lindy’s September Color Challenge– Following their colour palette.

Here are some close-ups:

Sunshine in my soul

Today we’re here with a journal spread, spreading sunshine.

We’ve used Lindy’s Magicals- Bayou Boogie Gold, Hibiscus Rose, Peony Scarlet Red, Shakers- Yodelling Yellow, Oktoberfest Orange for our background. We’ve used AB Studio Stamps as well. We’ve used a photograph, a badge from Cuts 2 Luv, flowers from Prima Marketing and 49 Market for the focal.

We’d like to participate in the following challenges:

More Than Words September – We’ve used yellow in our background, as well as flowers. The word Sunshine is incorporated in the quote, photo, and the meaning of the page.

Mixed Media Place August Challenge– Inspired by the colours, the flowers, the cycle and incorporated it all on the page.

Stored in my Studio- StencilGirl®

We are on the StencilGirl® Blog with a fun post. We have a great new theme- Stored in My Studio. We were excited because this gave us a chance to dig supplies from our studio and use them.

We have created a Burlap Mixed Media Canvas. We have a video tutorial for this project so you can get crafty while watching us.

We’d like to submit this for:

Art & Soul Studio September Challenge– We have added butterflies, and used the contrast colour combo.

We have used them for various layers with acrylic paint, sorbet dimensional paint, 3 D Matte Gel and Texture Pastes. We have also used the stencil not only for our backgrounds but also for the focal element.

We hope to have inspired you all to dig up things from your studio and create.
