We came across the Magic School Joint Venture and saw the deadline for Stage1 was extended. So we decided to play along and take part. For the transparent material- we’ve used an acrylic sheet, Art Melange pebbles and tiny glass bottles to hold our magic potion.

This is being carried out by Tirskaya Julia with the permission of the founder and the best professor of Marina Syskova’s school. This project will be held jointly with   7 Dots Studio !!!

As a part of this venture- we will make 3 mix-media works and play with different textures. These will be:

  • ATS, tags or postcards – of your choice
  • Canvas or page
  • Art object

Winners at each stage will be decided by the jury and will win goodies from 7 Dots Studio. The final winner will also stand a chance to guest design for 7 Dots Studio.

I am an Artist and Internet Technology Specialist. I have created my very own character and her best friend, her name is Pattieboop and her best friend is a very petite CAT named Allie. I love to draw and create my own digital images to use while crafting. My digital images that you find here are mine and I want to start sharing them with you. I am applying a small fee for my images and I know you will just love them.

We’ve used the  Vintage Tea Cup  and here’s a look at our creation:

Crafts Dreamy Challenge Blog

Hello everyone,

We thrilled to announce that we are a part of a new DT- Crafts Dreamy. This is a new challenge blog which a dear friend Zowie Dixon has started. We are so proud of her to have started this and thank you Zowie for having us on your team!

Cratfs dreamy

Onto Zowie- to tell you all a little about this:

Welcome to Crafts Dreamy, a challenge blog. I am Zowie Dixon from the United Kingdom, a mother of three beautiful children who never fail to inspire me. I am a passionate crafter and have been crafting for 8 years.

Since ages now, I have been wanting to start a challenge blog as I love crafting and believe that art is for everyone, and is a great way to express oneself. So finally today, I have taken to my dream and have decided to start this new adventure!

Personally, I love Vintage and Shabby Chic style of crafting and this reflects a lot in my work. I also love mixed media and collage art.  I have been a self-taught artist/crafter without any formal training and crafting does bring me a lot of joy.

The intention of Crafts Dreamy is to let you all play, craft and have fun. Every month we will bring to you a new mood-board with some fabulous inspirations from our Design Team members to get your creative juices flowing. This would be an ‘Anything Goes’ Blog and so we really look forward to seeing all your unique creations based on the boards.

Starting 15th of every month we will have a new mood-board to play with.

So watch out and do come back on the 15th of January for the very first challenge!

Looking forward to your creations and participation!

Tropical Paradise

Today we are super thrilled to have been giving an opportunity to guest design for Lindy’s Stamp Gang. Ever since we stepped into the world of Mixed Media, we got hooked onto Lindy’s Sprays. We knew no other brand then, and are obsessed with them. Over years, we’ve grown our collections of sprays,  magical and embossing powders and creating with them is fun!

Today we decided to alter a cycle frame and create a Tropical Paradise Scene! We wanted to create a tropical scene and be lost in the magic of nature! We’ve done it in the mixed media style, and have a video showing the entire process:)! So sit back, relax and enjoy creating with us!

Thank you again to the entire Lindy’s Gang for this opportunity :)!

Quick and Simple Cards

Hello everyone,

We are so thrilled to be Guest Designing for Rinea:-)!

Today we’ve created a set of cards using the double-sided foiled papers. These papers are amazing, especially for any project that requires the vibrancy and bling!

We’ve used the Love and Mettalics pack for our cards!

Here’s a look at them:

These were simple to create. All we did was, used a variety of dies and die cut papers and layered them together. We also embossed some with an embossing folder. For dimension, we used foam tape while layering them. We had our cards ready in a jiffy, without having to think about embellishing them, as the paper did everything :)!

You could buy these papers here

Happy Birthday Ma!

Today is mom’s birthday and we truly miss her! It’s the first time ever in our life that she is not around and we are looking forward to having her back soon!

Today, I decided to scrap her and made this layout for her birthday! The LO truly captures Ma’s spirit- colourful and balanced. She truly adds colour to our lives!

Here’s a look at it:

Ma Altenew LO 1For this one, I used a whole lot of Altenew Supplies- The papers and embellishments from ‘The Reflection Scrapbook Kit’, sentiment from ‘Persian Motifs’ Stamp Set, background stamping using ‘A Splash of Color’ and ‘Wild Hibiscus’ Stamp sets and the frame around the picture from the ‘Framed’ stamp set.

The background on this LO is all about stamp play. The colour blotches from the stamp set were used to match the background colours to add interest yet not make it a focal point. The flowers were stamped using black ink to add more detail and balance the colours. The fussy cut flowers go perfectly well. I also cut a few tags of different sizes on a different pattern paper and used it in the layering. To complete the layout, I added some white splatter, to further enhance the layout!

Here are some close-ups:
