Mark Making and Texture for StencilGirl®

This month, the theme at StencilGirl® Blog is  ‘Texture it or Make Marks On It’. As mixed media artists, we love doing both of these. We find solace and creative freedom in this form of art.
Today we decided to play in our journal with minimal supplies, create marks and textures on our page, but keep our layers flat. Which means, no foam tape, no added embellishments, just luscious and vibrant layers.

Today we inspire you all with a double page journal spread. Spring is here, and it’s time to plant smiles. Let’s get lost in this beautiful world and build tree houses.

Here’s a journal page to inspire you all to play along @nomadicsouldiaries (Instagram) challenge. The challenge is to create a journal page, use chipboards and include your name (my name means blue and so I used that).

The products used are- Lindy’s Magicals- Pop Rock Purple and Silent Night Silver; Embossing Powders- Aurora Amethyst, Cosmic Blue Violet, Silver Moon Mistletoe, Bavarian Blue and Twilight Blue Slate; Kora Chipboards; 7 Dots Studio Stickers.

More Than Words Challenge – Fantasy & Wings- Inspired by the general idea of fantasy, added phrases on that, chosen fairies as creatures of fantasy and for the challenge of wings.

Crafts Dreamy Challenge

Today, we have the second monthly challenge on the Crafts Dreamy Blog.

As we welcome the New Year, the Mood Board is inspired by journalling all the new memories we are about to create. Also, think of letters; old and new, vintage photographs, memoirs etc

The theme is anything goes; you can make a card, tag, ATC, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, mixed media or collage piece etc the possibilities are endless! The challenge is open to everyone in the UK and internationally.
The winner of the challenge will have the chance to be featured as our Guest Designer here at Crafts Dreamy and everyone who enters the challenge will go into the draw to win a Fifteen-pound gift voucher (provided by myself) to spend at Crafteezee The Design Team will also choose a further three favourite designs.
