ASD YouTube Hop- Christmas Journaling

Continuing with the spirit of Christmas in July and Alex Syberia Designs New Release, we have a fun YouTube Hop.

Inspiration:

For this hop, I’ve created a Christmas Scene Journal Page. I have used Angels Bells Collection from the new release along with the Falling Snow Stencil and Smile & Wave collection from an older release. The mix up of the two, really brings this scene alive. I’ve used several mixed media techniques and layers on this page. Below is a slide show showcasing the journalpage.

Aditi Mahajan

My name is Aditi. I work as an Intuitive Coach/Therapist and a healing professional.

When it comes to my style, I’m always attracted to deeper meaning of life and emotions and I connect that to my art and my creations. Therefore, every project has a story to tell. I use vibrant colours and splatter that denotes freedom and spreads radiance. I enjoy paper crafting, creating layouts, journal spread, tags, canvases, albums and altered art.

Today is full of possibilities

Today is a new day, and it is full of possibilities. It’s upto us, what we choose and what we make of it.

Here’s an art journal page I created inspired by Altenew’s February challenge. I was inspired by the colours, and the clouds in the photo. I’ve picked pattern paper from Altenew’s oldest collections that give me the shades of pink along with the white mist to mimic clouds. I’ve added floral clusters as focal elements and completed my page with splatters, enamel dots and a phrase. For the flower I’ve used shades of pink, and for the leaves I’ve used jet black ink with a generational stamping technique to achieve that shading, keeping the black balance from the photo in mind for the page.

Mark Making and Texture for StencilGirl®

This month, the theme at StencilGirl® Blog is  ‘Texture it or Make Marks On It’. As mixed media artists, we love doing both of these. We find solace and creative freedom in this form of art.
Today we decided to play in our journal with minimal supplies, create marks and textures on our page, but keep our layers flat. Which means, no foam tape, no added embellishments, just luscious and vibrant layers.
Here’s a look at what we accomplished:
