Hello everyone,

Here’s a mixed media journal page which is close to my heart. My children are the key to my heart and this is dedicated to them. I really had fun making this with all the textures and of course Lindy’s Magical- Tilt-a wheel Teal; Sprays- Rizzo Rowdy Red, Blazing Black, Sidewalk Chalk.
This was inspired by:

Spring is here and boy we love it! Sometime back, a crafty friend Nuneka, asked us if we would be interested in being a part of a crafty swap, and we said yes! Scroll down to the end of the post for the hop details and a giveaway!
Today is the day when we finally reveal our creations. A little about the swap- we formed a small crafty group and we were each assigned a partner. We had to create something for our partner and keep it a secret. Our projects travelled across the globe and we spread some crafty love.
In this post, I, Aditi, will reveal the project that I created for my partner Preeti Dutta. I wanted to create something that she not only treasures but also can use. Hence I made her a journal. I bought a blank sketchbook and designed the covers using mixed media. Preeti told me she loves Blues and Greens and that was perfect as those were spring colours. The phrases that I used on the cover are not just motivational but also go with the spring blossom. Check the video link below for more.
I also made a card to go along with it.
Check out the video flip through-
I’m linking this project to the Lindy’s March Challenge– Inspired by the blues, greens and yellows of spring. You see how powerful the title is! It is something we resonate with and today we are here to show you a journal cover we created for ourselves. This year, we decided to go beyond a book for journaling! Last year, most of our books got so bulky that they wouldn’t close and we had baskets all around our house!
So this year, we’ve done up our covers on chipboard, and we’ll use some rings to keep our journal pages between these covers as and when we create.
We always need positivity, motivation, love around us and we represent this in our journal covers. Here’s a look at it, before we talk more about it.
It says it all- ‘Fall in Love with as many things as possible’ and we today urge you all to fall in Love with yourselves. Peep inside, and reflect. Any journey begins with loving yourself, and then you Live, Create and Tell your Story. The colours we used for this our the pink tones- Shade of Red, which to us are LOVE. This is one creation, which makes us proud of ourselves. While working on our covers, we also created a quick journal page to go inside it- that again is filled with positivity. Our insides of the front and back cover- have quotes, that sure will pump us up every time we open it. We were inspired by the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog and their February Theme- Shades of Red; by the mood board and colours at Lindy’s February Challenge; the Take Note theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge; Words & Paintery February Challenge- Love is all around
We’ve used Lindy’s Gang Products (Colours linked below); Prima Marketing- Stencil; Finnabair- Mediums, Art Stones, Waxes, Matallique Paints, Glitter, Stamps; Papericious -Chipboard and assorted chippies from our stash; Tim Holtz- Mini Motivation Stamps; Peek-a-boo Designs- Stencil
We’re linking our creation to:
