Today I’m sharing a Travellers Notebook Spread. A little art journaling using Lindy’s Products- Magical Shakers- Polka Purple, Yodelling Yellow; Magicals- Hibiscus Rose; Sprays- Bombshell Black, Hibiscus Rose and Tea Pot Purple along with the 7 Dots Studio Paint Chips Collection.
Today’s spread is for fun. To remind each one of us, that crafting and creating needn’t always be under pressure, for teams or for challenges, sometimes, one must create for pleasure and for the self. Anna(Finnabair) spoke about this with a recent page of hers, and Kate Palmer encouraged it further with on the Lindy’s Facebook Group!
Spring is here and boy we love it! Sometime back, a crafty friend Nuneka, asked us if we would be interested in being a part of a crafty swap, and we said yes! Scroll down to the end of the post for the hop details and a giveaway!
Today is the day when we finally reveal our creations. A little about the swap- we formed a small crafty group and we were each assigned a partner. We had to create something for our partner and keep it a secret. Our projects travelled across the globe and we spread some crafty love.
In this post, I, Aditi, will reveal the project that I created for my partner Preeti Dutta. I wanted to create something that she not only treasures but also can use. Hence I made her a journal. I bought a blank sketchbook and designed the covers using mixed media. Preeti told me she loves Blues and Greens and that was perfect as those were spring colours. The phrases that I used on the cover are not just motivational but also go with the spring blossom. Check the video link below for more.
Now, I would like to show you what my Partner Kate made for me. It’s funny how our thought process matches. She designed a journal cover too and I cannot express it in words how gorgeous it is. Here’s a look at it, and do hop on to her blog for more details.
Here is the hop list, do leave us all some love, along the way check any youtube videos we have and do like them:).
I will choose a random winner from all the comments received and the winner will win a 20$ Gift Certificate (shipping chargeable) sponsored by Peek-a-Boo Designs, India.
While we all share and spread the love for the art and craft we create, a few brands and store owners are generously sponsoring our hop. Here’s a look at them. It would be nice if you could leave them some love by visiting their site, like and following them on social media channels. Apart from any giveaways on the artist blogs, five lucky winners get prizes from our sponsors.
This Giveaway is open until April 4th (23:59 GMT) and we will announce winners on April 5th.
Today we have a new challenge on the Crafts Dreamy Blog. The mood board is stunning and we hope it inspires you to play along with us.
We’ve created a Journal page to inspire you all.
We’ve used Lindy’s Magicals- Cocklebells Coral, Sea Mint Green; Magical Shakers- Black Forest Black, Oom Pah Pah Pink, Lederhosen Laurel for our background through a stencil, and misted them with water We added some white modelling paste with a stencil for more texture and random black stamping. This is such an easy technique and we love using it for our backgrounds.
Today we’re at the Mama Makes Blog with inspiration using Mama Makes Stamps.
Here’s a look at the Journal Page we created-

Let’s take you down memory lane, and into a world of fantasy with enchanting memories. Life itself is the most wonderful Fairytale.
Today we’re super excited to share our latest creation. We’ve created a Pop-Up Book and used a lot of mixed media techniques for our front cover, and paper crafting for our pop- up pages.
From the CCB Challenge- we’re taking you into the world of Enid Blyton books. All of us as children grew up reading these books, and today with our project we’ve re-created this mystical, enchanted world.
From the MMA Stage 3 challenge, we used natural material- twigs and moss on our front cover and the letters were incorporated in the form of phrases on our focal pictures.
From the MMP mood board, we were inspired by the images of the books, as well as the child’s room. We interpreted this by creating our own little book of adventure inspired by the famous children’s author Enid Blyton.
Recently, on a trip to Porto, Portugal, a visit to the famous Livrario Lello Bookshop is a major inspiration behind this project. The bookshop is mystical and magical and happens to have inspired J K Rowling for her Harry Potter series. So the main front cover of our book shows how a visit to this bookshop can take you into this mystical world.
The second part of the cover introduces this mystical land. We’ve used natural materials to enhance the beauty of the world.
Further, we have three pop up pages showcasing different scenes. One in the form of a book page opening to the mystical land.
Next, a cottage scene.
And lastly, the enchanted forest scene.
Below are close-ups as well as video link for this project:
