Today is mom’s birthday and we truly miss her! It’s the first time ever in our life that she is not around and we are looking forward to having her back soon!
Today, I decided to scrap her and made this layout for her birthday! The LO truly captures Ma’s spirit- colourful and balanced. She truly adds colour to our lives!
Here’s a look at it:
For this one, I used a whole lot of Altenew Supplies- The papers and embellishments from ‘The Reflection Scrapbook Kit’, sentiment from ‘Persian Motifs’ Stamp Set, background stamping using ‘A Splash of Color’ and ‘Wild Hibiscus’ Stamp sets and the frame around the picture from the ‘Framed’ stamp set.
The background on this LO is all about stamp play. The colour blotches from the stamp set were used to match the background colours to add interest yet not make it a focal point. The flowers were stamped using black ink to add more detail and balance the colours. The fussy cut flowers go perfectly well. I also cut a few tags of different sizes on a different pattern paper and used it in the layering. To complete the layout, I added some white splatter, to further enhance the layout!
