Country roads take me home

Today we combined two challenges to create this layout. Its a special one, pun intended.

We created this for More Than Words November, 2016 challenge and DCWV November Stack-a-holic 2016 challenge.  We were also inspired by the Theme Autumn and Metallics from Mixed Media Mojo Blog.

We used the DCWV sketch of the month and used papers from the Recollections- Flora Festival Collection. The words Special from MTB challenge got us thinking and took us down memory lane. We’ve re-created that Special Place for a daughter- her parents’ home (filled with love, comfort, a sense of belonging and longing). For something old we used our postcard picture we’ve had in our stash for a while now, for something new we used our new sentiment tiles, for something borrowed- we borrowed lines from John Denver’s song “Country Roads Take Me Home”and we definitely used something blue as our background.
